Upgrade your gift wrap!
As you all know, when giving a present, presentation is everything! We spend so much time getting our gifts all gussied up for the purpose of- having the paper just get ripped off? For that reason, I have always loved the idea of making the wrapping something a bit more reusable and even as an added bonus to the gift! For the holidays, I find all the excess fabric in my textile closet, or something good and on sale, and take just a few minutes to whip up these neat little bags. Here is my little instructional video on youtube:

Here are a few things to keep in mind:
There are many ways to put your bag together: with a sewing machine (this could even be an easy first project for beginners!), hot glue gun, stapler, or needle and thread.
Keep in mind what parts of the fabric you are using. For the top of the bag, which will be exposed, you’ll want to use the finished edges of the fabric.
If you are really new to sewing, or intimidated by this project, make a sample bag first so you can figure out the steps and get some practice!
*This is a great idea for those of you who are traveling by plane- TSA will rip open your wrapped gifts for security purposes. This way, you can simply put the presents back in the bags once you arrive. Less stress!
