Barbie’s Dream House
One of our most fun and whimsical projects from last year has been featured in the February-March edition of French Decor Magazine, Cote Ouest! Affectionately referred to as “Barbie’s Dream House” by the G- Team, the East Hampton vacation residence is a collection of colors and patterns that encapsulate a sense of freedom and joie de vivre.
The article is a great way to introduce Guillaume’s work and background- he has had a lot of experience and training in Bordeaux, Paris, Palm Beach, and NYC. Here, he has put his style sensibilities to work, creating a balance of classic and eclectic styles for a home that feels playful, but also relaxing.
The plentiful light and sweet, springtime color palette makes all that hard work put into the project seem effortless.
A sense of whimsy and charisma was evoked through a melange of patterns, and we used our good friend and fellow designer Robyn Karp’s textile line. Try and count how many different patterns are in the picture!
Couldn’t you imagine Barbie and her friends sipping cocktails and gossiping here after a long day at the beach?
And last but not least…a girly room, complete with butterfly chandelier and pink velvet chaise!
Have a happy spring and enjoy the beautiful colors in bloom- indoors and out!
